Seal your wine bottle properly with our 47 x 23 mm synthetic wine corks from the Nomacorc® Reserva 500 line intended for medium to extended periods of bottled wine maturation up to 8 years. Reserva synthetic corks are ideal for luxury wines delivering optimum performance and design. The low oxygen ingress is ideal for fragile and crisp wines as well as high-quality reds. Reserva corks also feature Flor grade natural cork's grow-line features and natural imperfections.

47 x 23 mm Nomacorc® closures are compatible with most traditional 750 ml wine bottles. Our synthetic corks offer a reliable bottling performance with smooth extraction and reinsertion. These closures are durable with no crumbling or breakage.

Synthetic corks can reduce wine preservation faults due to oxidation, reduction and off-flavors associated with TCA while still offering an elegant, natural appearance. These corks feature a soft feel for easy grip. This cork comes 1,000 per pack.

Why synthetic cork?
Synthetic cork is an alternative to natural cork designed to offer the traditional bottle opening experience without the risk of crumbling or breakage. Synthetic corks are typically made from either low density polyethylene (LDPE) plastic or plant-based plastic derived from raw materials such as sugarcane. All of The Cary Cary Company's synthetic corks are derived from sustainable, renewable resources.

Our synthetic wine corks are based on an advanced co-extrusion manufacturing technology which avoids the common pitfalls associated with synthetic wine corks. Controlled oxygen ingress allows for predicable results in wine maturation. Our Nomacorc® Green Reserva line is capable of wine preservation up to 25 years. Synthetic corks are also Trichloroanisole (TCA) free which is a chemical compound associated with cork taint. With their consistent bottle-to-bottle performance and soft feel, our synthetic wine closures are an economic natural cork alternative for a range of quality wines.

Bottling with Nomacorc® Synthetic Corks
Nomacorc® synthetic corks feature a natural look and soft-feel skin to ensure that that the bottling experience is smooth and easy. Synthetic corks also offer no breakage or crumbling during extraction and reinsertion for reliable performance. Similar to natural corks, Nomacorc® closures are recommended for use within 6 months after production date and should be stored in a cool, dry location prior to use. Each bag of closures should be used directly after opening.

Nomacorc® are ideal for use with bottles according to the CETIE or GPI standards. Nomacorc® closures are not recommended for use with recycled bottles. These closures are compatible with most standard corking machines, but perform best on four-jaw corking head. During the insertion process, Nomacorc® closures typically elongate an average of 2 mm after inserted into the bottle.
