The 56WMR5 is made of high density polyethylene (HDPE) and has a 5 gallon capacity. The mobil red plastic pail has a 9 0mil wall and metal handle (with plastic grip). The 56WMR5 lid option includes Mobil red lid with Rieke Flexspout (56WMIL). Other styles, sizes and colors available upon request.

Specifications
The 56WMR5 is a 5 gallon open head mobil red plastic pail tough enough to store hardware supplies and secure enough to protect contents. Strong reinforcing ribs guarantee that it will keep its shape. This durable round commercial grade container can be used to safely store or ship products including food, dairy and chemicals. Container and cover can be hot filled up to 180°F, steam sterilized and frozen. Features a tapered design which allows empty buckets to nest for storage and separate easily, while pails with lids are stackable.

Material:

High-Density Polyethylene PlasticHigh density polyethylene (HDPE ) is the most commonly used resin. This economical plastic has good impact and chemical resistance, is naturally translucent and flexible. It is typically used for personal care products such as shampoo bottles. Adding color will give HDPE an opaque look that will result in an increase in weight and rigidness. We have a variety of these rigid and tough high density polyethylene products in stock, from containers, pails, bottles, caps, tubs and jugs. HDPE works well in below freezing temperatures. HDPE heat compatibility varies. Maximum fill temperature is generally around 145°F; however, testing is recommended with your specific product and application.

Can this round plastic pail be used for food products?
If the pail is FDA approved (listed under the Additional Information section of this product page), then it is safe to store and transport food and food ingredients.

Yes, you can use a pail heater with this pail. However, be sure the heater can be used on a plastic pail and find out what temperature the pail can withstand before applying the heater.
How many cubic feet in a 5 gallon pail?
The simple conversion of measurement of 5 gallons is 0.803 cubic feet. However, this is for the nominal capacity of the pail. The actual (overflow) capacity of a pail can vary from model to model. To calculate the full volume in cubic feet, for cylinder pails, you need to multiply π (3.14) x the pail radius (in feet) x the pail height (in feet). To calculate the volume for square pails, multiply the pail's length x width x height (in feet).
