Q & A
Customer Questions
Would these pail inserts withstand mixing of thin set with a drill and spade handle (for tiling)? Once dry, could the leftover thin set be released so the insert could be reused?
Thank you for your inquiry. For this use, this liner would probably be a single-use option. However, the liner would protect the pail and allow it to remain free of the thin set so the pail could be used for another purpose in the future. Thank you for choosing The Cary Company.
How many cubic feet in a 5 gallon pail?
The simple conversion of measurement of 5 gallons is 0.803 cubic feet. However, this is for the nominal capacity of the pail. The actual (overflow) capacity of a pail can vary from model to model. To calculate the full volume in cubic feet, for cylinder pails, you need to multiply π (3.14) x the pail radius (in feet) x the pail height (in feet). To calculate the volume for square pails, multiply the pail's length x width x height (in feet).
What are pail liners used for?
Pail liners keep pail interiors from getting soiled and reduce the amount of time needed for cleaning out the pail. Our FDA-approved liners are ideal for storing and mixing food products. They are ideal for adding tints to paints, mixing concrete, blending cosmetic emulsions and more.
How do pail liners work?
Rigid pail liners offer a contoured lip that snaps over a pail’s top bead. This lip helps prevent any liquids getting between the pail and the liner. Flexible pail liners are placed in a pail and the top portion is folded down to minimize the chance of any pail contents getting between the pail and the liner. Once used, these liners can be disposed of, eliminating the need for cleanup.
Some of your pail liners have anti-static properties. What does this mean?
Liners with anti-static properties are used to minimize any static buildup during usage. This feature is ideal when dealing with flammable products or applications. Anti-Static liners are pink in color and are available in both HDPE and LDPE.

It seems to be a good product but we haven't used it yet for our application. We ordered a sample to get a feel for the thickness and texture. The company was very responsive and helpful.
