Key benefits:
Made of FDA Compliant LDPE plastic, which is soft and squeezable
Bottle is shaped like a bear and used almost exclusively for honey
Low density polyethylene (LDPE) is squeezable, has good chemical resistance and has a malleable feel. Unlike high density polyethylene, it is more translucent. Due to these factors, LDPE works best with packaging that is more flexible, such as produce bags and eye droppers. A common LDPE we carry is the boston round bottle, a popular choice within the personal care industry that works well for dispensing products. LDPE is not recommended for hot-filled applications but it works well in cold temperatures. Fill temperature should not exceed 120°F.

Q & A
Customer Questions
Do you have caps and other closures available for this 38mm 38-400 container?
Compatible products that will fit a specific container are listed under the Related Products section of the product page. You can also search our website by the container’s neck finish. For example, 38mm 38-400 caps, pumps and sprayers are designed to fit 38mm 38-400 neck finish containers like this one. However, the best way to check compatibility is to order a sample of the cap to match to your container. You can learn more about finding a matching closure for your container in our Guide to Neck Finishes.
Is this LDPE bottle impact and chemical resistant?
Yes, LDPE plastic, which is known for its toughness, offers good impact resistance. The flexible, malleable feel of this material makes it easy to form, weld and heat seal. Although it withstands cold temperatures well, LDPE is not recommended for hot-filled applications and the fill temperature of the product to be packaged in this container should not exceed 120° F (49° C). Additionally, LDPE is compatible with many chemicals including some acids and alcohols.
Is this container BPA free?
As LDPE does not typically contain BPA, this bottle is BPA free.
Is this LDPE container food grade?
When a container is FDA compliant, that indicates that it is safe for food contact and can be used to package food or drinks that are suitable for human consumption. If our product page indicates that a container is FDA Approved, then the container is considered food grade and can be used to package consumable food and drink products.
