30W2BP is the 28mm (28-400) black phenolic cap w/ foam liner. The foam liner is an economical solution, and can be used to take up room on the top of caps when the neck thread is not high enough to achieve a secure tight closure. Foam liners are compatible with many substances, making them ideal for bottling general purpose, household and water based liquids.

F-217®-3 3-Ply Co-extruded Foam Liner Composition
The F-217 liner is a three-ply co-extruded liner consisting of a closed cell foam produced from low-density polyethylene (LDPE) faced with solid LDPE on both sides. The opaque white outer skins create a high-quality visual aesthetic. The inner foam core creates a compressible yet resilient product allowing it to create a good seal with the container. Three-ply foam liners have become the industry standard due to their all-purpose compatibility, resilient, compressible seal, cleanliness (no pulp dust) and economy. Three-ply liners are taste and odor resistant, and have a low moisture transmission rate, meaning they prevent moisture from entering the bottle and affecting products. (This liner does not create an airtight seal.)

Phenolic resin (Phenol Formaldehyde Resin - PF) is a durable thermoset plastic popular for its molding and physical assets. It is a result of a combined reaction between phenol and aldehyde. Known for its strength, heat, and chemical resistant abilities, phenolic resin is used to mold solids and is considered to be quite versatile, making it a good fit for a range of consumer and industrial products. Even though phenolic holds up well under certain levels of heat, phenolic caps will decompose at 220°C (428°F) or higher. Unlike other plastics, phenolic closures are capable of maintaining their form and attributes when exposed to corrosive chemicals. Phenolic caps are often used with containers that store chemicals and essential oils, making it an excellent choice for laboratories.
