Specifications
This lightweight but durable plastic drum is suited to store both hazardous and non-hazardous materials. HDPE drums are ideal for handling and transporting hazardous materials, storing spill kits, spill containment, biohazard waste disposal and shipping. This HDPE drum is also food grade so it can store a wide variety of products. Salvage drums are often used with non-damaged bottles, cans, carboys and 5-gallon pails of non-leaking hazardous materials. The yellow color is useful for color-coding products in warehouses or other facilities. A bolt ring is a closure that holds the cover on to the body of the container by encompassing the cover and the top of the container in a groove. This ring is then tightened by a bolt that pulls the ends of the rings together. A calibrated torque wrench is used to confirm proper closure to meet UN Rating requirements.

Material:

High-Density Polyethylene PlasticHigh density polyethylene (HDPE ) is the most commonly used resin. This economical plastic has good impact and chemical resistance, is naturally translucent and flexible. It is typically used for personal care products such as shampoo bottles. Adding color will give HDPE an opaque look that will result in an increase in weight and rigidness. We have a variety of these rigid and tough high density polyethylene products in stock, from containers, pails, bottles, caps, tubs and jugs. HDPE works well in below freezing temperatures. HDPE heat compatibility varies. Maximum fill temperature is generally around 171°F; however, testing is recommended with your specific product and application. Distortion occurs between 220° to 250° F.
