58mm Pressure Sensitive Liner, “Sealed for Your Protection” in Red

Imprinted with “Sealed for Your Protection” in Red.

The 68W58L is a 58mm polystyrene white foam coated (PS-22) liner insert with a pressure sensitive coating. Pressure sensitive liners create an actual seal, providing an extra level of protection compared to a basic foam liner. They are best for dry products and can at times, work with thick liquids such as creams and sauces. Generally, these liners are not recommended for liquids and oils. Material is a styrene foam innerseal coated with a torque activated coating. It has adhesion to glass and plastic bottles with metal or plastic caps.

This liner is sized to fit industry standard 58mm neck finishes. Due to the variation in neck finish dimensions, particularly with glass bottles, we recommend testing the compatibility of this liner with your bottle/cap combination. To request a sample, please click here.
**Pressure sensitive liners are non-returnable.
**Pressure sensitive liners are not considered a form of tamper evident seal.

Cap Liner Type:

Pressure Sensitive Liner (Pressure Seal 020 Pressure Sensitive Polystyrene Foam Liner - Printed)
Imprinted with “Sealed for Your Protection” in Red.
Structurally similar to a foam liner, pressure sensitive liners have adhesive on one side, designed to stick on to the rim of a container. When a container is closed and pressure is applied to the cap (and in turn, the liner), the adhesive becomes activated, which creates a seal. Pressure sensitive liners provide an extra level of protection in that it actually creates a seal that sticks to the rim of the bottle. Pressure seals are not considered a form of tamper evident seal. They do not work well with liquids, especially oils. They can, at times, work with thick liquids such as creams and sauces.

Q & A
Customer Questions
How do you know what size liner to get ?
Thank you for your question. The liner size should match the cap and bottle opening diameter. Each of our caps and containers include that information in the name of the product. For example, this 58mm liner will fit any cap and bottle with a 58mm diameter, such as Part #67W4BP, 58mm 58-400 Black Smooth Plastic Cap, Unlined and Part #68WP04, 4 oz. Clear PET Plastic Wide Mouth Jar, 58mm 58-400. Additionally, please note any limitations on material compatibility, which will also be listed in the product name. Some liners are compatible with most container materials while other liners are designed for specific types of plastics, such as HDPE or PVC. This information will also be listed in the name of the liner. For example, Part #68W89I, 89mm Foil Heat Induction Liner for HDPE/PP, Clean Peel, FoilSeal™ .008" C1S FS 1-13 indicates that it is designed to be used with plastic containers made of HDPE and PP. Thank you for choosing The Cary Company.
