What size drums will you collect?
We collect drums of all sizes, but the most common size drums we collect are 55 gallon.
We offer full truckload pickup across the United States. We also offer less than truckload pickup near our drum recycling facilities in Addison, IL, Pittsburg, PA, Jurupa Valley, CA and Livermore, CA. Please inquire about your specific quantity and location for more details.
Do the containers have to be empty? How do I prepare a drum for return?
Yes, we require that all drums you are returning need to be empty. We will assist with the rest!
What information do you need for drum disposal?
We require the following information in order to process the drum disposal:
- A few pictures of the containers that will be returned. If the drum is open head, please provide an image of the inside.
- SDS of the former contents.
- Size of drum being returned.
- The material of the drum being returned.
- The number of drums that will be returned.
- The pick up location of the containers.
All of this information is included in the form. Please fill out and we will reach out! We also have a copy of the downloadable form
here. The form must be filled out in it's entirety and signed.
Will I be charged for the pickup of drums?
Please note free service is dependent on quantity of drums and its pick up location. Drums that fulfill a full truckload are eligible for free pickup service.
Can I include other recyclables (such as IBC totes) with my pickup?
Please contact us with the details of the additional containers and we will look at this on a case-by-case basis.
Do you pay for the drums?
We typically do not pay out for the drums, but we offer free pick up as a convenience service to get off your floor.
How many drums must be collected before you’ll pick them up?
Drum collection typically need to meet full truckload quantities, ranging from 200-500 drums depending on size and if pallets are included. If you have less, please contact one of our representatives to see if we can accommodate to your needs.

A truckload quantity of drums is around 200-500 depending on size and if pallets are included.
What types of pictures do you need for the drums?
While we do not need an individual picture of every drum, the pictures should be clear and be a photo of the drums that will be picked up. If you have open head drums, please take a picture of the inside. Please note we must have photos in advance of pickup. If we have additional questions or need more photos, a member of our team contact you.
Why can't I just throw out my drums?
Though empty drums waste space and resources, companies should not throw out used drums. Drum disposal must be in compliance with strict federal, state and local environmental regulations. The Cary Company can work out proper disposal and recycling of a variety of both drums and intermediate bulk containers (IBC's).
