- This standard aerosol can disposal system allows you to drain aerosol cans and reduce hazardous waste. The simple procedure consists of placing an aerosol can into the chamber and closing it using the handle-clamp, waiting 5-30 seconds (depending on the volume of can contents) for depressurization to make sure it is safe to open, then open the lid and remove the can for proper disposal as scrap metal or recycling. Fits can sizes of 2" to 3" in diameter and up to 10.5" length. This equipment requires attachment to a 30- or 55-gallon steel tight head drum with 2" and 3/4" fittings (sold separately).
