Specifications
The 37BPRL is a super coarse perlite. Perlite is a volcanic mineral that is capable of greatly expanding from four to twenty times from its original size when heated at around 1600° F. Upon expanding, the perlite becomes lighter in weight and capable of absorbing exterior moisture from a particle. Due to its low density following processing, this product is suitable for horticultural purposes. It is often used in rooting cuttings to create a stronger root and soil mixes to foster a loose and well-drained soil.

Key benefits:
  • Expansion creates a neutral pH with many small bubbles and closed cells
  • Perlite is sterile, allowing it to be free of insects, disease, and seeds
  • Mineral's shape creates air passages that provide drainage and aeration
