This is a white/gold tin plate cap that has a plastisol liner. This style of metal cap fits 83mm 83-400 neck finish containers and it is a popular choice for glass bottles, jars and jugs. This continuous threaded (CT) cap and has a white exterior, a gold ring on the bottom and a knurled edge. Plastisol is a common liner that is used for applications such as food canning and vacuum packing, because it provides a hermetic seal (or airtight seal). This lid can be used for packaging hot fill items such as sauces and preserves as well as general canning.
Platisol Liners can handle up to 190° F. Sampling is recommended for withstanding temperatures above 190° F.
