2" NPS Con-Tech® Poly Plug, EPDM Gasket
This 2" NPS Con-Tech® plug is designed to be used on plastic poly drums and provides excellent sealing performance. This plastic drum plug has a neck width of 2" and is made of polypropylene (PP), which is a versatile plastic used in various industries. The plug's ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) gasket is a durable synthetic rubber gasket commonly used in construction, automotive, and other industries. EPDM gaskets are great for long-term use and offer great sealing properties even in extreme weather conditions. PP offers good chemical resistance and can withstand high temperatures.

EDPM Gasket
Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM) gaskets are the most tested and widely used sealing technique and offer reliable sealing of media over a long period of time. They offer outstanding sealing properties in extreme weather conditions and excellent temperature stability (-40° to +150°C) in cold climates. EPDM gaskets are extremely resistant to wear, aging, weather influences, ozone, and UV light.Material:
Polypropylene (PP) is a tough plastic that has excellent chemical resistance. PP is translucent in its natural state but can have a glossy finish when produced with color. Some examples of common products made with PP are dairy and medication containers. Polypropylene is suitable for hot fill applications of up to 205°F and is therefore great for autoclaving. Distortion occurs between 240° to 270° F. It is not recommended for cold or sub-freezing temperatures. The Cary Company has an assortment of polypropylene plastics available for purchase, such as plastic caps and jars, which have a higher tolerance for chemical products.
