Specifications
37BL30 is a red 1 gallon polyethylene Type I safety can that contains flammables and corrosives within its safe HDPE (high density polyethylene) construction. Tough gas can resists chips, dents and punctures while storing acids and other corrosives. Self-closing cap guards against leaks and hinders spilling while automatic vent minimizes the chance of explosion. Cap's trigger mechanism allows user to pour smaller amounts of liquids. Flame arrester, cap and pressure-relief mechanism prevent ignition sources from entering the can, yet do not restrict liquid flow into or out of the can. Stainless steel hardware and flame arrester resist corrosion. Oval can design increases shelf storage capacity by 30%. Conductive, current-carrying carbon insert is embedded into the can's rib to complete a ground path between the cover and flame arrester.

The proper handling of flammable and combustible liquids is important for the prevention of fires and explosions. Storing your flammable and combustible liquids in safety cans prevents the occurrence of fires and explosions as they prevent the creation of flammable vapors, spills, and are designed to safely relieve internal pressure when subjected to fire conditions. Safety cans are vigorously tested to determine strength and go through drop, leak, strength and compatibility tests in order to determine the highest quality in safety standards. It is critical that you choose the proper can that has been determined to be compatible with your combustible or flammable liquid. The 37BL30 Type I safety can is FM Approved, and OSHA and NFPA Compliant.

Material:

High-Density Polyethylene PlasticHigh density polyethylene (HDPE ) is the most commonly used resin. This economical plastic has good impact and chemical resistance, is naturally translucent and flexible. It is typically used for personal care products such as shampoo bottles. Adding color will give HDPE an opaque look that will result in an increase in weight and rigidness. We have a variety of these rigid and tough high density polyethylene products in stock, from containers, pails, bottles, caps, tubs and jugs. HDPE works well in below freezing temperatures. HDPE heat compatibility varies. Maximum fill temperature is generally around 171°F; however, testing is recommended with your specific product and application.
